Director, Audit and Assurance

In her years of professional experience in the fields of audit and assurance, accounting, and financial management, Emy has gained mastery and expertise enough to grant her various professional titles such as Comptroller, Audit Manager, Finance Manager, and most recently, Audit Director, among others.

Prior to joining Alas, Oplas, & Co., CPAs as an Audit Director, Emy had worked with various reputable companies and audit firms in the Philippines and abroad, notably with SGV & Co., Punongbayan and Araullo, then a member firm of Ernst and Young, and Manabat Sanagustin & Co., currently a member firm of KPMG. Over the years of her professional experience as an auditor, she has handled clients in industries such as insurance (life and non-life), manufacturing, entertainment, retailing, stock brokerage, trading, oil, airline, financial services, research, BPO/shared services, and non-profit entities. She also has handled projects for USAID, CIDA, and other foreign funding agencies.

In the fields of accounting and financial management, she has gained expertise through her experience as an Accounting and/or Finance Manager in different highly regarded companies in the Philippines, in which she managed treasury, payroll, general accounting, cost accounting, taxation, internal auditing, management information system, and business system review.

Emy also has a strong background in training and development as she had worked in the Academe as a Lecturer in the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
